Mike Jagger & Evita Arce will be teaching a full weekend of fabulous workshops in Poughkeepsie, NY. Housing is available on a first-come basis. Early registration ends June 30, but if you say you saw us on Swing Monkey you can get that special rate until July 3. Full to partial weekend packages are available so you can just come for one day, one afternoon or one dance. Sunday workshops don't start till 1pm so you have plenty of time to drive over for just the day if you can't do Saturday!

We will miss Frankie at Beantown this year, although we are pleased to have our own opportunity to honor him. There will be a tribute to him coordinated by special guest Cynthia Millman who co-authored Frankie's autobiography "Frankie Manning: Ambassador of Lindy Hop". Plus we can all do our part to continue to spread the joy and that very positive spirit. As Frankie would say "Keep on Swingin'!"
Hope everyone had a fantastic Memorial Day weekend! We attended the Frankie 95 Festival in NYC, which was everything and more than expected. It was a gathering of over 2000 dancers from around the world which will likely never be reproduced. Much praise is due to the main organizers and many volunteers who did an outstanding job from start to finish.
Lindy Hoppers around the world have been mourning the passing of Frankie Manning. We attended Frankie's funeral last Saturday in NYC. It was held at a beautiful large church in Harlem which was completely filled with family and friends from near and far. The Harlem Renaissance Orchestra was packed onto the altar and there was even dancing in the aisles. The ceremony included remembrances from a wide range of speakers. We saw a lot of people who we haven't seen in a very long time including some from our first years of Lindy Hopping.
May 30th we will have Dueling DJs featuring:
Hometown Favorite: Wil "The Whip" Reed vs. the Challenger: Camille "Fancy Feet" Fontanella.
We are also offering special door deals and stimulus pricing:

We are in the final countdown to Mystic Blues 3: Under the Sea! Mystic Blues is a weekend long event including five dances and a total of 16 hours of workshops for two tracks: Beginner and Intermediate/Advance all for the amazing price of $80. Tina Davis and Bryan Spellman (Dallas, TX), Emilio Estevez and Mike "the Girl" Legett (Philadelphia, PA), and our very own Noelle Gray, David Graybill and Mary Christensen will be teaching their fabulous classes over the weekend. For music, the wonderful Joshua Fialkoff and the J-Street Band are our featured Saturday night band along with our amazing DJs Tina, Bryan, Emilio, Mike, Julie Brown, John Brooks, Javier Johnson, Chris Oksanen, Wil Reed and Kevin Woods. As you can see CT is heavily represented so come out and support your friends!
